The special grind of the sole allows the iron to slide along any surface. This club is tailored for impacts on high around the green and creates a lot of bounce for flop shots or soft sand shots. On normal shots the grind of the club allows for digging through turf with little to no friction. The Shinagawa wedge comes in 50/8, 52/10, 54/10, 56/12, 58/12 or 60/8 loft and bounce combinations. Shinagawa Irons
Shinagawa irons are hand crafted by Mr. Kiyoshi Shinagawa in the region of Japan called Himeji. Himeji is popular for its high quality forging of Japanese swords dating back to 794 C.E. Himeji is now a golf iron crafting hub of Japan. “Takumi”, the art Mr. Shinagawa practices, means that he has inherited the soul of the sword-smith.
